This is the day of the week where we get to know each other better by answering a question devised by our lovely hostesses Parajunkee & Alisoncanread. Sounds like GFC is eventually going away.. so you may want to follow by email or bloglovin/feedly (I love both). And now for this week's question....
Q. Today is the US' Independence Day. Share your favorite book with war in it, or a government overthrown.
A. I love the graphic novels Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi! These novels are about a girl named Marji who talks about her childhood up to her early adult years in Iran during and after the Islamic revolution. Really it's amazing. I think if you have never read a graphic novel this is a great one to get you into the genre. I made the next image a little big so you can all read what it says.
These graphic novels really brought out a lot of feelings and helped me understand more about Iran. There is even a film based on the book that you could check out also.
What did you pick? Happy July 4th to those who celebrate it!
