Well... I have noticed everyone doing the A to Z survey and since I won't be getting too much reading done the next two weeks I thought.. well I might as well do this too! Plus it looks fun! I found the A-Z Meme at The Perpetual Page-Turner (love her blog)!

I liked bad boys back then... so maybe Erik from the Sookie Stackhouse books or Ranger from the Stephanie Plum series.

Jane Austen Pride and Prejudice. I am not a big romance reader.. and I had just started reading classics. So glad I found Jane Austen books I love them!

Emily Post's Etiquette Book , honestly no one really has manners anymore because no one teaches people them. This book really helps us.. including what to do with your cell phone!

Well for me it was finding goodreads because I don't know anyone who reads in my real life. Blogging has been pretty important too. I have had a lot of fun with it!

Just Finished:

The 39 Clues Day of Doom. I thought this was going to be the final book in the 39 Clues series but they are continuing it. I am going to stop here though because the number of books in this series are getting crazy.

Kind of Books You Won't Read:

Well there is nothing I won't read... but I don't like biographies, romance, religious, and non-fiction. Just can't do it.

I think that is either the Stand or Under the Dome by Stephen King. Sometimes he can really write some long books!

Major Book Hangover because of:

I loved the Hunger Games. I really do think those are amazing books. Just great great writing. Also Harry Potter when they first came out and I had to wait around for the next book in the series to come out!

Finally I am finished with all the 39 Clues books. YEAH YEAH! Party! These books have been a fun journey. I am so glad I came across them in the bookstores. Here is the goodreads description:

I am so glad I am done with this series. Though I will admit it ended a little over dramatic. Now that the series is done I still don't believe that it needed to continue. If you don't know what I am talking about, the 39 Clue was originally 10 books. They were good. Then the series continued with 6 more books called the Cahills VS Vespers (and a book that took place in between the two series). I think that Scholastic was just trying to make more money off a good thing. Kind of like all those Young Adult trilogies out there that don't really need to be a trilogy.

I was also disappointed that this series added a love triangle. Do we always have to get a love triangle??? The characters by the end of the Cahills VS Vespers series are just totally different then the ones we got to know before. People want to KILL people and then two chapters later don't want to KILL them? I know that sometimes I want to punch people and then I don't want to but that's totally different then killing someone.

Also in this book there is suddenly a machine to kill the world. Throughout the series of the Cahills VS Vespers we have been collecting items from all over the world. Not sure how I feel about them all of a sudden turning into pieces for a big old machine. It is a hard thing probably to end a series like this when there are all different authors writing each book.

THEN I FIND OUT THIS.. The third series, Unstoppable, was revealed in Publishers Weekly on October 25, 2012.Nowhere to Run, the first book in the series, will be released October 1, 2013^.Jude Watson wrote the story arc for this series. A 2nd book called Breakaway will be released in January 2014.

I can't... I don't... WHA!!!!! Well 39 Clues I'm out. We had a long and wonderful journey together but it's time we part ways.

The 39 Clues Trust No One by Linda Sue Park - Review

I am almost done with the 39 Clues series!! 1 more book to go. I am ready to finish it. I thought I was done and then they surprised me this whole Cahills VS Vespers. Sooo I kept reading. Here is the goodreads description:

I have enjoyed the 30 clues series from the start. I loved the whole idea of all these books being written by different authors. This book was good at pushing the plot toward the end of the series. To be honest I am getting a little tired of following the main characters (Dan and Amy) around the world and finding clues. If the series continues after Day of Doom (which is the book after this one) then I probably won't continue. I was a little disappointed in this book though because we don't really get to read about all the characters we've grown to love. I am sure in the last book everyone will enter back into the story but for now we just focused on our little group of teens.

There is a lot of story lines happening in this book and I love it. I am glad that the next book will answer all these questions. The cliffhanger in this book was perfect. This book series is really good and I think more people should read them. There is a little love triangle going on.. but I guess that will get nipped in the butt in the last book. These books are fun fast reads.. they are for middle school readers but hey.. I still love them!

A Mutiny in Time by James Dashner

I just love the The 39 Clues series (for those that don't know these are adventure books ... and they are all written by a different author for each book). So when I was at the bookstore and saw there was another series, The Infinity Ring, that was written in the same format I had to read it. Here is the goodreads description:

I have been wanting to read this and while on vacation my niece happened to be reading it so I borrowed it from her and read through it super fast. I swear it was only like a 2 hour read. Honestly I didn't love this book. It starts out with the first 100 pages giving us the introduction about how Dak and Sera end up time traveling with the infinity ring and why. The world is very different then what we know. History has been changed somehow. This really isn't explained in this book why or how this is possible. So in this book Christopher Columbus was taken over in a mutiny and the kids travel back to the past to fix this (and these kids are young! I think like 9?).

The end of the book is then super fast. The kids trust a bunch of strangers on the ship who just jump up and help them in the mutiny no questions asked. Everything ties up in a ribbon and the book is done. I was really disappointed about this. I wanted more plot to take place in the historical places. More details about the surroundings and culture. But we didn't get to read much of that. Looks like there are already four books out in the series, with three more to come. I am afraid though that these books are too young for me. I can't decide if I should keep reading or not. It could be that the author just isn't my style. Since all the books are written by different authors the next one might be excellent! I'll have to check out reviews on the next book.
